This study had shown that turning our diets towards more plant consumption, to the detriment of animal proteins, allowed to reduce the food carbon footprint, to cover our nutritional needs and to introduce more certified products without necessarily increasing the French food budget. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The aim of this 2019 report is to understand the impact of a change in diets introducing more plant consumption on agricultural systems in France by 2050. The central question guiding the development of this scenario is: &#8221; What sustainable agricultural system would provide a healthy and low-carbon diet in France by 2050? &#8221; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After analyzing the global diets and associated agricultural production methods and their impacts on the environment, WWF France tried to project these systems until 2050.
