The  total number of participants was 2,854. The dietary intervention programs offered to  the participants were rather diverse. All  interventions were long-term programs that reinforced maintaining stable  calorie intake and the balanced nutritional intake. These studies showed couple same results:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>On the <strong>weight<\/strong>: Six studies demonstrated a significant weight loss effect.  The meta-analysis showed that the weight decreased  by \u22124.37 kg (95% CI: \u22126.54 to \u22122.20) , which was statistically significant (Z =  3.95, <em>P<\/em> &lt; 0.001).<\/li><li> On the <strong>BMI<\/strong> (<em>Body Mass Index<\/em>): Six studies demonstrated changes in BMI.
