This initiative is designed to increase\u00a0 a sustainable production, to guarantee a safe consumption to consumers and to stimulate innovation by the use of new algae and algae based products.<\/p>\n<p>The objectives of the consultation are to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>collect facts, views and opinions on current challenges in algae production and consumption and options and preferences for resolving them;<\/li>\n<li>ensure all voices are heard with adequate representation of all relevant stakeholder groups \u2013 industry, public authorities, civil society, research; academia, NGOs, EU citizen etc.<\/li>\n<li>gather further information, including roadmaps, policy briefs, studies and analysis of policies, actions and technologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You can contribute to this consultation by filling in <a href=\"https:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/info\/law\/better-regulation\/have-your-say\/initiatives\/12780-Blue-bioeconomy-towards-a-strong-and-sustainable-EU-algae-sector\/public-consultation_en\">the online questionnaire<\/a>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The European DG MARE has opened a public consultation on the algae in Europe until August 11, 2021.
