In July, Sant\u00e9 publique France recommended folate supplementation for women planning to become pregnant and, since September, Sant\u00e9 Publique France has made dietary recommendations for young children (intended for healthcare professionals and parents) and for the elderlies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Launch of a new campaign of Sant\u00e9 Publique France &#8211; New dietary recommendations for 0-3 years.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&#8211; Sant\u00e9 Publique France is launching an information campaign aimed at health and early childhood professionals as well as the general public on the new recommendations for food diversification of children under 3 years old developed with the support of health professionals and early childhood professionals and the recent opinions of ANSES and the Haut Conseil de Sant\u00e9 Publique (HCSP).<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A campaign of short videos posted on Youtube, \u201cOn apprend, on teste et on s\u2019adapte\u201d, shows how to move from a whole milk feeding to a diversified diet through the stories of 4 children at different stages of food diversification.<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; A new brochure entitled &#8220;Pas \u00e0 pas, votre enfant mange comme un grand&#8221; accompanied by the food diversification poster, is thus available on <a href=\"http:\/\/mangerbouger.fr\">mangerbouger.fr<\/a> and on <a href=\"http:\/\/santepubliquefrance.fr\">santepubliquefrance.fr<\/a>. Six video tutorials and evolving recipes according to the child&#8217;s age are also made available to parents on <a href=\"http:\/\/mangerbouger.fr\">mangerbouger.fr<\/a> as well as a one-page summary document intended to professionals.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Revision of dietary recommendations for the elderlies.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The HCPH published on August 24, 2021 the opinion on the update of the dietary references of the National Health Nutrition Program for the Elderlies. These new dietary guidelines take into account the ANSES opinion of 23 December 2019 relating to the updating of the PNNS dietary guidelines for women from the menopause and men over 65 and will serve as a support for the development of communication messages intended for the general public developed by Sant\u00e9 Publique France. These new references focus on the nutritional needs of elderlies aged 75 y and, a population at risk of undernutrition and sarcopenia. Indeed, the HCPH considers that for elderlies aged less 75y and women since menopause, the nutritional issues are similar to the ones of adult population and thus the nutritional references for the general adult population apply to them.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In addition to dietary recommendations for specific populations, Sant\u00e9 Publique France is committed to the development of collective agreements with stakeholders in the agro-food sector to improve the food supply:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Collective agreements: a new mechanism for improving the food supply.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These collective agreements offered to stakeholders in the food sector aim on the one hand to improve the nutritional quality of the food supply and on the other hand to promote the sustainability of the food sectors, through a voluntary commitment from operators. The first sector engaged is that of the bakery with an agreement planned on the reduction of salt in bread. To ensure an impact consistent with the public health challenges, prior expertise work was carried out by ANSES and published on February 15, 2021, \u00a0ANSES set realistic and achievable reformulation targets for each food family, over a maximum period of 3 years. This new collective agreement was published on September 3, 2021 with a call for applications to set up a committee of scientific experts in charge of giving an opinion on the content of the files, the nature and relevance of the commitments. The submission of applications for the expert committee on collective agreements has been closed since November 30, 2021.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nutri-score: governance and ongoing discussions on its possible deployment at the European level<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Spain and Switzerland have committed to facilitate the deployment of the Nutri-score in Europe. For this purpose, a scientific committee and a transnational steering committee of European governance have been set up. The Scientific Committee&#8217;s mission is to evaluate potential evolutions of the Nutri-score algorithm while respecting its general principles. In this context, operators and consumer associations have been invited to submit requests for possible changes to the algorithm until September 15, 2021 to the French members of the Steering Committee. Requests validated by a two-thirds majority of the members of the steering committee of the 7 countries involved can then be sent to the experts of the scientific committee for examination. The first recommendations from the scientific committee are expected for the end of 2021 &#8211; the beginning of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>To know more, you can consult the 2 newsletters communicated by
