WebiNACRe are quarterly scientific meetings organized by the NACRe network. They are an opportunity to attend a live presentation by an expert on their work on the theme of “diet, physical activity and cancer”, and to be able to ask them questions on this subject.
Colorectal cancer (colon and rectum) is one of the most widespread cancers in France, with around 47,000 new cases in 2023. It is an preventable cancer and even curable in 90% of cases if it is diagnosed early. time. However, the participation rate in screening campaigns still remains relatively low. For this tenth issue, three experts come together to share their knowledge about colorectal cancer with us:
- Dr Mélanie Deschasaux-Tanguy, researcher at Inserm (CRESS – Nutritional Epidemiology Research Team) will open the conference on nutritional protective and risk factors for colorectal cancer, and will present the state of the art on the role of intestinal microbiota.
- Raith Mrad, project manager, and Annick Cohen-Akenine, coordinator of screening programs at the National Cancer Institute will present the organization of colorectal cancer screening in France.
