The Theme for World Microbiome Day 2024 is “Feed your microbes – How diet shapes your gut microbiome”
This Friday, June 7, 2024 from 9:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. at INRAE, Paris 147 rue de l’Université, the GLN/GPN Conference will be held: “Sport & Nutrition: What nutritional issues for athletes?”.
The DGAL, through Synadiet, organized 2 webinars (on April 23 and 29, 2024) for manufacturers in the food supplements sector. These 2 webinars aimed to present the next steps to come in 2024 concerning the change of administration and therefore of the notification system for food supplements on the French market. During these webinars, the DGAL explicitly stated its desire to build the new tool in a scalable manner and in collaboration with the various feedback from manufacturers. Thus, the DGAL was able to announce the opening of the beta versions of the ingredients database and the new Compl’Alim notification platform, before their official launches planned for the 2024 school year (September). Until September, Téléicare remains the official platform for notifying your food supplements, but will become obsolete upon the official launch of Compl’Alim.
The 54th World Earth Day 2024, celebrated this Monday 22 April, is under the slogan “Planet vs. Plastics”. Earth Day was born in the United States in 1970 as a result of social, activist and student movements. This event recalls the call of hundreds of thousands of people to consolidate a global alliance to act, innovate and implement measures to protect the environment among all: companies, governments and citizens.

The WHO Council on the Economics of Health for All has found that at least 140 countries recognize health as a human right in their constitutions. Yet far too many are not passing and putting into practice laws to ensure their populations are entitled to access health services. This underpins the fact that at least 4.5 billion people – more than half of the world’s population – were not fully covered by essential health services in 2021. To address these challenges, the theme for World Health Day 2024 is “My health, my right”.

This Friday, April 5, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m., the 10th webinar of the NACRe network will be held: “WebiNACRe n°10: Prevention and screening of colorectal cancer”. WebiNACRe are quarterly scientific meetings organized by the NACRe network. They are an opportunity to attend a live presentation by an expert on their work on the theme of “diet, physical activity and cancer”, and to be able to ask them questions on this subject.
