Special edition from EFSA journal on Dietary Reference Values for nutrients
EFSA worked on bringing together the dietary reference values (DRVs) for nutrients in one document : the special edition of the EFSA Journal. These values indicate the amount of a nutrient which must be consumed on a regular basis to maintain health in an otherwise healthy individual (or population).
This virtual issue analyzed all 32 of EFSA’s scientific opinions that have been published by the EFSA’s Panel on Dietetic Products, Nutrition and Allergies (NDA Panel) over the last 7 years, covering water, fats, carbohydrates and dietary fibre, protein, energy, as well as 14 vitamins and 13 minerals.
In addition to the full opinions document, a summary report is also available, giving an overview of this NDA Panel’s study. This report includes tables and annexes resuming all 32 opinions.
