The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) has carried out a public consultation to gather feedback from the scientific community and all stakeholders on the guidelines for the use of the threshold of toxicological concern approach in the EU. food safety assessment. The public consultation was open from 12 November 2018 to 10 January 2019 and EFSA received 101 interested parties in more than three letters to write its opinion in a report. This report provides statistics on the comments received and provides a summary description of how the comments were handled during the finalization of the document. The opinion was discussed and adopted at the plenary meeting of the Scientific Committee on 24 April 2019 and is published in the EFSA Journal.
