This Nutrinet study aims to characterize the environmental, nutritional and economic sustainability of diets. FAO has defined a sustainable diet as a diet with limited environmental impact, covering the nutritional needs of the individual while remaining financially affordable. Using indicators of economic, environmental and nutritional sustainability, and a census of more than 24,000 participants, Nutrinet differentiated 6 typical consumer profiles according to the sustainability of their diets.
